Description:
The Policy Committee met on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. At the meeting the committee recommended several older policies be repealed by the Board. 4.H. North Penn Educational Foundation
Description:
The Foundation met virtually in August and welcomed all three of our new student representatives, sophomores Daniela Luna Goffredo and Wes Peterson, and junior Quinlyn Duke. We are very excited and grateful for their involvement. The Foundation also greeted new teachers at its annual "Water Ice-Breaker" in August where we talked about the foundation and the grant process. Thank you to Rita’s of Lansdale for donating the water ice once again this year. Trustees are currently busy working on the 25th annual golf classic which will be Tuesday, October 6 at Talamore. Estimated cost to the district is $1,916.80 ($1,260 for half of the registration fee; $296.80 for transportation; $360 for two (2) substitute days). The remainder of the costs will be covered by students ($93/student) and the FBLA activity account. Students experiencing financial hardship will receive assistance.
Recommend approval for approximately fifty-two (52) NPHS Troubadour student choral members, two (2) NPSD members, and one (1) additional adult chaperone to participate in the Treble Choir Festival, Pittsburgh, PA; October 18-19, 2026. Estimated cost to the district is $5,500 ($5,140 for transportation; $360 for two (2) substitute days). The remainder of the costs will be student subsidized ($206/student). Students experiencing financial hardship will receive assistance. Recommend approval for approximately forty-six (46) NPHS Ski Club student members to participate in a ski trip to Lake Placid, NY; February 18-21, 2027. Estimated cost to the district is $240 for one and one-half substitute days. The remainder of the costs will be paid by students ($849 - $1,549/student, contingent on room choice). Students experiencing financial hardship will receive assistance. Recommend approval for approximately eighty-eight (88) NPHS Ski Club student members, one (1) NPHS staff member, and six (6) additional adult chaperones to participate in a ski trip to Jay Peak, VT; January 28-31, 2027.
