The closure of 48.0501 will have no impact on our current CTE students and instructors.  

 

Description:  Consider approving the Training Service Agreement with the Pennsylvania College of Technology for the Advanced Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship (AMP).  The Training Service Agreement will remain in effect until June 30, 2006, and will allow a WAHS student to participate in a blend of online trainings at WAHS and four (4) in-person days at PCT.  There is no cost to the student or WASD to participate as the tuition fees are covered through PCT grant funding.
 

Description:  Consider approving the renewal agreement with Tyler Technologies, Inc. (formally EduLink, Inc.) for PAETEP (Pennsylvania Electronic Teacher Evaluation Portal) at a cost of $19,523.70. This portal is used for the management of the teacher evaluation process for both teachers and supervisors. Costs will be paid through Title II funds.
 

Description:  Consider approving the Commonwealth University course SOWK- Intro to Social Work. The request includes a course weight of 1.4, will factor into the grade point average for the student, and will appear on their transcript. The course would be eligible to meet 1.0 credits of the elective graduation requirement. This course will count towards class rank if total credits do not exceed eight course credits for the 2026-27 school year. The course description has been reviewed and approved by the high school principal. Cost of the course is the responsibility of the family. The final grade must be reported at the completion of the semester on a Commonwealth University transcript.

The course would be eligible to meet 1.0 credits of the social studies graduation requirement. Description:  Consider approving a three-year agreement with Perry Weather to provide comprehensive weather monitoring and alerting services for the Williamsport Area School District at a cost of $24,362. Costs will be paid for with PCCD Safety Grant funds.

 

Description:  Consider approving an agreement with Keystone Advertising to print and install full van wraps on the districts two new student vans at a cost of $12650. The van wraps are being designed by WAHS commercial art program students who will also be involved in the creation and installation of the wraps. Costs will be paid out of the athletic and public relations budgets.

Employment Agreement: Full-time School Police Officer	Consider approving an employment agreement for Jody A. Miller, as a Full-time School Police Officer for the Williamsport Area School District, in accordance with the Public-School Code of 1949 as amended; 24 P.S. 1-101 et seq., at the rate of $40.00/hr (for hours worked) and applicable benefits as outlined in the employment agreement; effective October 14, 2026
Vendor Contract: Conrad Siegel	Consider approving a contract with Conrad Siegel Actuaries to complete, file and mail required 2026 IRS employee and employer tax forms to comply with mandated Affordable Care Act regulations.  The proposal also includes assistance in the review of tracking employee data, benefit eligibility and employee premium cost-sharing, as well as filing corrections.  The cost for this service is $7,900 and reflects no increase from prior year.
Vendor Contract: Interpretek	Consider approving additional contracts with Interpretek, principal office location of 75 Highpower Road, Rochester NY 14623, to provide substitute interpreter services (on a long-term basis, when needed) by a qualified communications facilitator, to eligible students at the discounted rate of $72.00 per hour (for long-term services), in addition to on-demand video-remote interpreting services at the rate of $1.90/minute for emergency situations.

Description: 

Board Policy #903, "Public Participation in Board Meetings":

• There will be two public comment sections:  one during the first two hours of the meeting at a time to be determined by the presiding officer; and the other at the end of the meeting. This gives the presiding officer some flexibility to fit the first public comment section into the agenda at a convenient time.
   
• Persons submitting a formal request to speak during the first public comments section should be present promptly at the beginning of the meeting in the event that they are invited to speak prior to commencement of the scheduled business that is outlined in the agenda.  Persons who have submitted a written request will be given an opportunity to make a presentation about an issue that is on the agenda when the issue is scheduled for discussion or about an issue that is not on the agenda during the first two hours of the Board meeting, at a time to be determined by the presiding officer.
   
• Each public comment section will be limited to a maximum of 20 minutes.  Each speaker will be limited to a maximum of five minutes.
   
• Those wishing to speak during the first public comments section must submit a formal request in writing to the business administrator no later than 9:00 a.m. on the day of the Board meeting. This gives people an opportunity to come to the District Service Center on Monday before the Board meeting to read the posted agenda.
