EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE COMMITTEE AGENDA		MINUTES
I.	Call to Order	Meeting was called to order at 6 PM
II.	Approval of Minutes	Mrs. Strickland made a motion to approve the minutes of the July Meeting. Dr. Mitzel seconded the motion.
III.	Old Business:
	A. 250th Birthday Update	Traditional flags have replaced Betsy Ross flags. 250th Birthday Banners were taken down at the high school for summer cleaning. Student will learn about the Constitution on September 17.
IV.	New Business
	A. Proposed Curriculum Review: HS CTE	Mrs. Miller shared the process of writing curriculum for CTE courses. Task lists are created by professional who work in industry. AP Financial Literacy course is in a different format because it is following the curriculum of the AP course. There was discussion of how reading and writing are integrated into CTE courses.

Facilities/Safety Committee Agenda							MINUTES
I.	Call To Order						6:00 PM
II.	Approval of Minutes from July 21, 2026						Approved
III.	Old Business:
	A. Stadium Turf Replacement						Project was completed July 24, 2026 Looks nice Testing Range is 70-80% Pad will make a big difference Life Span at the High School Turf is not as good as the stadium
	B. Stadium Scoreboard						Scoreboard has arrived All protective material is placed on the track until installed
	C. Natatorium Pool Water Heater						Old heater has been removed Installation begins August 12, 2026 depending on the startup tech Tech will take old heater apart to see why it failed New heater has a 5 year warranty No extended warranty - however if new heater fails before 5 year, warranty is in effect
	D. Gates at Middle School						Project is still being worked on Chains will be used until the new gates are installed There was a problem discovered from the previous renovation of the old storm drain
	E. Stages at High School and Middle School						This project was inspected August 10, 2026 District saved $5100.00
	F. Facilities Grant						No word on this grant Waiting on a reply
	G. North Salem Elementary Stormwater Management Plan						Mr. Fluke called Gordon Brown and Associates Waiting on a return call
	H. High School Turf Field Fences						Mr. Fluke is waiting on a final bid
	I. Dishwashers for Leib Elementary and North Salem Elementary						Mrs. Renard has ordered them Will do the best she can do with the old ones until the new ones arrive
IV.	New Business:
	A. Automated Logic Contracting Services Assurance Plans						The cost is $75,343.00 This will include software and hardware This is a definite need This controls the air conditioning and heating The cost of this is in the budget District saved $33,000.00 over the 1st year
V.	Business or Comments from Administrators, Board members and the public						Mrs. Wickenheiser commented on how well the maintenance staff did getting the building ready for the start of school Mr. Hogan inquired about the new truck Mr. Fluke informed the committee that the District saved $246,000.00 last school year

	A. Human Resources - updates for start of school year	HR updated that all teacher vacancies are filled for start of school year. One position for Learning Support at the H.S. will be opening up in September.
	B. Overview of Audit Process - Miranda Weaver	Mrs. Weaver provided review of procedures and processes to prepare for an audit, as well as the steps and requirements required by the auditing firm. Very detailed presentation, notes available by request to treasurer.
	C. Discussion of any main meeting agenda items	Committee reviewed board agenda for clarification on any business meeting items. We discussed Item 8-E to confirm which oven (of 3) quote we are voting for. We also discussed the new fiscal year's Budget-to-Actuals report. Mrs. Weaver clarified there are no footnotes because they're reserved for overages, and will be added as needed in the future.
	D. Open Floor	President Conley asked what steps the business office is taking to address the EOY spending overages. Mrs. Weaver reminded about Budget-to-Actuals report purpose, and the actual overages will not be determined until Nov/Dec due to accrual entries after audit.
