Description:

2.6. Public Comments on Agenda Items
Description:
The Board will hear comments on agenda items that are being presented for consideration at this meeting.
Residents or taxpayers of the Nazareth Area School District who wish to make a public comment on agenda items shall comply with Policy 903-Public Participation and shall register their intent with the Board Secretary in advance of the meeting and shall include the name and municipality of the participant and the topic to be addressed. Nazareth ASD Board Meeting Comment Request Form Participants must be recognized by the presiding officer and must preface their comments by an announcement of their name. A participant speaking during the agenda item public comment period is limited to a total of one (1) statement on agenda items not to exceed five (5) minutes. |

2. Approve the resignation from Tonya Judah, Monitor (NAHS), effective on September 14, 2026. 3. Approve the request from Employee FMLA 26/27-7 for intermittent Family Medical Leave. 4. Approve the request from Employee FMLA 26/27-8. 5. Approve the request for an uncompensated leave of absence from UL 26/27 - 5 on October 16, 2026 (1 day). 6. Approve the request for a sabbatical leave of absence for Rebecca Mauser, Technology Integration Specialist at NAMS, effective for the 2026-2027 school year. 7. Approve the resignation from Michelle Giordano, Cafeteria Monitor, and hire as an Associate Teacher for Jasmin Lebron (movement), effective on September 9, 2026, with an initial assignment at Kenneth Butz Elementary School, and with other terms and conditions currently in effect between the Nazareth Area School District and the Support Personnel Association, pending receipt of all required paperwork. Accept the resignation from Melissa Wexler, 3-hour Food Service Helper at Nazareth Area Middle School AND approve the recommendation to hire Melissa Wexler as a 4-hour Food Service Helper, replacing Tammy Laubach (movement), at Nazareth Area Middle School, effective on a date to be determined, and with other terms and conditions currently in effect between the Nazareth Area School District and the Support Personnel Association, pending receipt of all required paperwork. It is understood that employment is provisional until all required paperwork is received, based on the requirements of the Public Employee Relations Act and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. 9. Accept the resignation from Amanda Stubbs, 3-hour Food Service Helper at Nazareth Area High School AND approve the recommendation to hire Amanda Stubbs as a 3.75-hour Food Service Helper, replacing Holly Counterman (resignation), at Nazareth Area High School, effective on a date to be determined, and with other terms and conditions currently in effect between the Nazareth Area School District and the Support Personnel Association, pending receipt of all required paperwork. Approve the recommendation to hire Joseph Kozak as a Long-term Substitute Teacher for Lindsay Hoff, with an initial assignment at Nazareth Area High School, effective on a date to be determined, at Step 1 of the Bachelor's Salary Schedule, $57,951 (pro-rated) and with other terms and conditions currently in effect between the Nazareth Area School District and the Education Association pending receipt of all required paperwork. Approve the recommendation to hire Julia Chormanski for an Associate Teacher position, replacing Amber Eisenhardt (resignation) with initial assignment at Kenneth Butz Elementary School, effective on a date to be determined, and with other terms and conditions currently in effect between the Nazareth Area School District and the Support Personnel Association, pending receipt of all required paperwork.
