Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2027 competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Being named a Commended Student is a significant honor and reflects the hard work Faye has demonstrated throughout her high school career. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishment! |

2.3. Officer Mike Lukanski is this month's Superintendent Star recipient. Officer Lukanski performs his job at the highest level day in and day out. He is diligent with maintaining various aspects of student and staff safety and is highly visible in the building, which also serves as a way to build rapport with our students. In addition, he is always willing to assist with a teacher's lesson to bring a level of expertise to a health lesson on substance abuse or a social studies lesson on a legal issue, which the students always enjoy.

Recommended Motion(s):
To approve the following student trips with the understanding that if the Secretary of Homeland Security issues an alert or advisory or the DOH, CDC, or PDE recommends cancelling events due to health and safety issues, the Superintendent has the authority to cancel any or all of the trips to preserve the health, welfare and safety of our students and staff:
1. HS students to Dish Works in Lancaster, PA to film a commercial based on a cafeteria workers award winning recipe September 28-29, 2026. Cost to come out of the cafeteria fund.
2. 1. High School Symphonic Band to The Smoky Mountain Music festival, Gatlinburg, and Dollywood Theme Park April 1-7, 2027.
3. High School Drama Club juniors and seniors to New York City April 29, 2027-May 1, 2027.

1. To authorize Peacock Keller, LLP to enter into a stipulations to settle the exemption appeals of Canonsburg Educational & Cultural Institute, Inc. at Washington County Court of Common Pleas Docket Nos. 2025-8219, 2025-8220, 2025-8224, 2025-8227, and 2025-8232 for Parcel Nos. 110-026- 00-00-0003-00, 110-026-00-00-0001-00, 110-026-00-00-0002-00, 110-002-00-01-0011-00, and 110-026-00-00-0029-00, confirming those parcels to be exempt.
2. To authorize Peacock Keller, LLP to file an appeal to the Washington County Court of Common Pleas from the September 4, 2026 decision of the Board of Assessment Appeals of Parcel No. 520-015-00-00-0025-00 reducing the assessed value to $2,716,000.
3. To authorize Peacock Keller, LLP to file an appeal to the Washington County Court of Common Pleas from the September 4, 2026 decision of the Board of Assessment Appeals of Parcel No. 140-015-00-00-0011-32 reducing the assessed value to $2,206,750.
4. To authorize Peacock Keller, LLP to enter its appearance and defend any appeal initiated by the property owner to the Washington County Court of Common Pleas from the September 4, 2026 decision of the Board of Assessment Appeals for Parcel No. 140-010-00-00-0008-51.
