Description: 

The school administration will present the e-learning proposal for District 120. The purpose of utilizing an e-learning day is to have the opportunity to continue instruction when the school needs to be closed for emergency reasons, most commonly due to extreme weather conditions.

The proposal will ensure access for all students; ensure that the specific needs of all students are met, including special education students and English learners; ensure that all mandates are still met using the e-learning program adopted; and contain provisions designed to reasonably and practicably accomplish the following:

• Identifies purposeful and efficient means of communication about the expectations of the e-learning day, including notice to students and their parents or guardians of the particular days for e-learning.

• Ensures and verifies that required clock hours of instruction or school work for each student participating in an e-learning day.

• Ensures an opportunity for any collective bargaining negotiations that would be legally required.

• Will be verified by the Regional Office of Education for the school district to ensure access for all students.

• Will be implemented for a period of 3 years (2026-27, 2027-28, 2028-29) prior to renewal.

The recommended goals and procedures associated with Mundelein High School District 120’s e-Learning Plan will be outlined in the presentation.

Description:  A review of the calendar concerns addressed over the past year will be provided. Next steps to address upcoming challenges with construction and calendar adjustments will be addressed.

Description:  At the Board’s request, the administration is providing a recurring update on the District’s cybersecurity program, including project plan status, cybersecurity health posture, asset discovery and inventory development, vulnerability scanning results, infrastructure risks, and progress on key initiatives such as incident response planning and vulnerability management.

The report is intended to keep the Board informed of ongoing efforts to strengthen the District’s cybersecurity environment and monitor risk mitigation activities.

Description: 

Bids for the Mundelein High School Master Facility Village Green Site Conversion, involving site electrical work attributed to the property, were received on 08/25/26 following a newspaper advertisement on 8/6/26. Upon reviewing the bids, the administration recommends awarding the bid to the vendor below to provide the site electrical work for the Mundelein High School Village Green project in the amount of $549,360.00. Funds are budgeted in the Capital Project funds.

With respect to change orders that necessitate an increase in the cost of contracts by 10% or more, or which will change the time of completion by a total of 30 days or more, the Board authorizes its Superintendent or designee to make the written determinations required by 720 ILCS 5/33E-9, that: (1) The circumstances said to necessitate the change in performance were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was signed, or (2) the change is germane to the original contract as signed, or (3) the change order is in the best interest of the District and is authorized by law.

In accordance with District policy, the recommended bidders have submitted and signed the required Conflict of Interest Disclosure form confirming there is no conflict of interest.

Description: 

Bids for the Mundelein High School Master Facility Phase 2, involving work attributed to the Varsity Softball Fields, were received on 08/25/26 following a newspaper advertisement on 08/06/26. Upon reviewing the bids, the administration recommends awarding the bid to the vendors below to provide the Varsity Softball Fields for the Mundelein High School Master Facility Phase 2 project in the amount of $1,005,675. Funds are budgeted in the Capital Project funds.

Description:  The District is recommending repairs to Boiler #3 at the High School following an inspection that identified damaged components requiring replacement. The work includes removing and replacing the boiler tubes, repairing damaged interior casing, replacing firebrick and insulation, and completing necessary sealing and testing to restore the boiler to proper operating condition.

The total cost for the repair work by Nolan Boiler & Tank Service, Inc. is $43,235. Completing these repairs will help ensure Boiler #3 remains operational and reliable for the District’s heating needs.

Description:  The Administration asks that the Board of Education consider adopting the e-Learning Plan to guide the e-Learning initiatives and support effective implementation across District 120.

Description:  The Mundelein HS D120 BOE needs to select an Association Delegate to attend the IASB Delegate Assembly on Saturday, November 21, 2026. The D120 delegate will vote on the resolutions, hear from the IASB officials, and vote on officers.

Description:  The presentation will provide the Board with an overview of the County School Facilities Sales Tax that will appear on the November ballot. The discussion will focus on what the District would propose to do with the additional revenue should the measure pass, including how those funds could support District priorities while reducing pressure on existing resources and taxpayers. The presentation will also review the anticipated financial impact, implementation timeline, and when the District could reasonably expect to begin receiving revenue if approved by voters.
