The Board will take public comment on a potential tax rate increase in accordance with Jordan School District Board policy GP110 Public Participation at Board Meetings.  Members of the public will be provided a reasonable opportunity to comment on the subject of the hearing. Those desiring to comment must sign up to speak on a sheet provided at the meeting.  

Spanish interpreters will be available for those needing assistance.

1. Each speaker shall be heard only once during the hearing. 

2. Speakers will be given a maximum of three minutes to address the Board. 

3. A representative from a legally created organization who is officially representing that organization shall be allocated up to six minutes to speak.  

4. If a large number of patrons have signed up to speak, the Board may elect to adjust the time allocated to each speaker to allow more patrons the opportunity to be heard.

The Board reserves the right to waive or alter this procedure if in the opinion of the Board it is warranted by the circumstances.   

Description:  The Board president may declare a short break if needed by Board members.

Description:  Motion and action by the Board regarding a proposed tax rate increase that would be directed to teacher salaries; authorization to make any budget adjustments necessary to reflect the approved tax rate.
