Description:
The seniority lists have been reviewed for the custodians, secretaries, food service, and paraprofessionals. It is ready for board approval.

19. Approve Marching Band Proposal - Action
Description:
Jamie Pohlman will be presenting a plan to start a Marching Band beginning in May of 2025. The cost of this will be $3362. The band will march in the Riverfest Parade in Windom and at Pow Wow in Mountain Lake.

20. FEMA BRIC (Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities) Storm Shelter Grant -Informational

Description:
If Windom Schools moves forward with the construction of a Fine Arts Center, it would need to be built as a storm shelter per MN building code ICC500. This is already figured into the budget. Recently, I learned about an opportunity for a FEMA BRIC Grant to cover part of the costs for the Fine Arts Center. Jordan Buss, a grant writer, is here tonight to inform the board of the process and possibilities.

Presented tonight is a plan to support the transition of the Business Manager as she prepares for a well-deserved retirement. The plan includes an overlap period of 6-10 months as the incoming business manager learns from Peggy. The transition plan is for approval before you today so that the position can be posted before Christmas Break.
