8. Recognition of Persons Wishing to Address the Board
Description:
This portion of the agenda is for citizens to address any questions or comments to the Board. The Board will listen, take comments and questions under advisement, and not respond at this time. The presiding officer will refer questions to the superintendent for research and response.

9. Closed Session
Description:
Recommended Action: Pursuant to Section 8(1)(b) of the Open Meetings Act (Act 267 of 1976) and upon the request of the student, if 18 or legally emancipated, or student's Parent, I move that the Board of Education go into closed session for the purpose of conducting a hearing to consider the discipline of a student and 8(1)(e) to consult with its attorney regarding trial or settlement strategy in connection with specific pending litigation, but only if an open meeting would have a detrimental financial effect on the litigating or settlement position of the public body.
