Description:
Audience participation at a Board meeting is limited to the public comment portion of the meeting designated for that purpose. Per H.B. 2840 all public comments shall be limited only to items on the board agenda for consideration. At all other times during a Board meeting, the audience shall not enter into discussion or debate on matters being considered by the Board, unless requested by the presiding officer. BED(LOCAL)

5)a) Consider adoption of Godley ISD's Local District Policy: FM(LOCAL) and FD(LOCAL)
Description:
SB 401 proposes changes to the Texas Education Code concerning student eligibility for participation in UIL activities. The bill mandates that public schools must allow non-enrolled students, such as homeschoolers, to participate in UIL activities if they meet all standard eligibility requirements, unless the school district or charter school formally adopts a policy to decline participation.

5)b) Consider Adoption of Godley ISD District Policy: FA (LOCAL)
Description:
FA (Local) emphasizes parent access to student records,
clear communication, and the district’s position on issues of gender identity and privacy. The use of pronouns inconsistent with a student’s biological sex will not be promoted or required. While parents may request such usage in writing, no staff member or student will be compelled to use pronouns that conflict with their personal beliefs. |

5)c) Discuss and Consider MOU with Alvarado ISD for CDL Training and Testing
Description:
Alvarado ISD is certified by the State of Texas as a Third-Party Skills Testing Provider for Commercial Driver’s License applicants. In order to help GISD achieve its respective goals on the transportation of students, Alvarado ISD provides third-party skills testing certification.
