Description:
This is an annual budget hearing to adopt the following budget as required by statute: 1. General fund; 2. Food service fund; and 3. Debt service fund. The board must wait to adopt the 2025 tax rates for the Maintenance & Operations and the Interest & Sinking Funds until after the Final Certified Values are received from the Chief Appraisers and the Maximum Compressed Rate is approved by the TEA.

Description:

9)a)5) Consider the Bank Depository Contracts for the 2025-2027 Biennium
Description:
The TEA requires school districts to enter into a depository contract with a bank for every two years, which can be extended for multiple renewal terms under Godley ISD's District of Innovation Plan. Godley ISD has elected to continue to work with ACS Bank (primary) and Wells Fargo Bank (secondary) for the upcoming biennium, beginning July 1, 2025, and running through June 30, 2027.

Description:
SB 401 proposes changes to the Texas Education Code concerning student eligibility for participation in UIL activities. The bill mandates that public schools must allow non-enrolled students, such as homeschoolers, to participate in UIL activities if they meet all standard eligibility requirements, unless the school district or charter school formally adopts a policy to decline participation.
