9. Discussion and Consideration: Approve EISD's investment policy

10. Discussion and Consideration: Purchasing Threshold Updates; The following updates are due to inflation and are aligned with Federal and State procurement guidelines.

10.a. Discussion and Consideration: Raise the district's procurement threshold to match SB 1173 which allows for Procurements up to $100,000 dollars without requiring some form of competition as outlined in the Financial Accountability System Resource Guide.
|

10.b. Discussion and Consideration: Raise the district's micro-purchasing authority to the new threshold of $15,000 (previously $15,000).
|
|
10.c. Discussion and Consideration: The district policy will match the new simplified acquisition threshold of $350,000 up from $250,000. This can increase the purchasing threshold when the school system is required to implement a formal procurement process of sealed bids or vendor proposals.
|

11. Discussion and Consideration: Raise Superintendent's procurement authority to align with new requirements, currently $25,000 limit on the former cap of $50,000 CH (local).
|
|
12. Discussion and Consideration: Provide Superintendent Don Hasley temporary hiring authority for all contracted positions that are considered non-administrative for the months April through August, hiring authority would end upon the Call to Order of regularly scheduled meeting in August 2026.
