Board Minute Language - For the 2024-2025 school year, we delegate contractual authority to obligate the school district under Texas Education Code (TEC) §11.1511(c)(4) to the superintendent, solely for the purpose of obligating the district under TEC, §48.257 and TEC, Chapter 49, Subchapters A and D, and the rules adopted by the commissioner of education as authorized under TEC, 49.006. This included approval of the Agreement for the Purchase of Attendance Credit or the Agreement for the Purchase of Attendance Credit (Netting Chapter 8 Funding).

7.J. Consider and Approve the engagement letter presented by Neffendorf & Blocker, P.C. to perform the audit for the fiscal year ending on August 31, 2024.

7.K. Consider and approve renewing the interlocal agreement between Leakey ISD and Divide ISD for Leakey to provide administrative, HR and business services for the 24-25 school year to Divide.

7.L. Review & Approve the 1st quarter invoice for FY25, for the period September 1, 2024 through November 30, 2024, from Leakey ISD for administrative, business, and human resource services provided.

11.B.5. Presentation of the 2023-2024 Preliminary FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) based on school year 2022-2023 data. Divide's rating is an A (96) = Superior Achievement. The district lost (4) points on indicator #13 - administrative cost ratio.

11.B.6. Inform the Board that a public hearing to adopt the updated MCR tax rate will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 5:00pm (already published in the newspaper as required), after TEA issues the District's final MCR (maximum compressed tax rate).
