Rationale:
Annually we are required to review our availability of seats to expand the Choice program. We presently have 19 Choice students enrolled in our district, however, we have 24 seats allotted. My recommendation would be to maintain the current allotment of 24 seats for next year.

The State has allowed for flexibility on the 2013-2014 SEED system and Somers Public School District has completed the flexibility request forms for Board approval.

Rationale:
First Selectman Lisa Pellegrini has announced that Somers Public Schools will be accessed 50% of the workers' compensation insurance settlement which will be $24,589. I am requesting that the Board amend the previously approved 2014-2015 budget to include the $24,589 as indicated.
