Rationale:  REMINDER - YEARBOOK PICTURE WILL BE TAKEN AT 6:55 P.M. PRIOR TO THE MEETING.

Rationale:  A brief annual report will be given regarding the guidance department and the alternative education program at SHS.

Rationale:  Kathleen Pezza, Director of Curriculum will do PowerPoint presentations on the Food Service and Science curricula. She will be available to answer any questions board members may have.

Rationale:  The proposed 2013-2014 school calendar has been reviewed by the Administrative Council and the SEA.

Rationale:  The approval of electives and curriculum changes will be presented by Mr. Cotzin and Ms. Pezza.  The board is requested to approve the changes to Food Service I as discussed by the Curriculum Committee.  New SHS courses for 2013-2014 are included in the packet.  Mr. Cotzin and Ms. Pezza will be available to answer any questions board members may have.

Rationale:  The Somers Lacrosse Association is requesting board approval for a donation of benches for the MBA fields.

Rationale:  The superintendent will give the board a brief update on school security and answer any questions board members may have.

Rationale:  The Superintendent of Schools and the Director of Business Services will give an update on projected increased costs to the district's health insurance.
