8.1. Second Warning/Adoption of Honors English Texts
Rationale:
Approval to purchase the following novels for Honors English Grades 9 and 11: Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury), To Kill A Mockingbird (Harper Lee), The Book Thief (Markus Zusak), Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck), All Quiet on the Western Front (Erich Maria Remarque), Life Is So Good (G.Dawson & R.Glaubman), Life of Pi (Yann Martel), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time (Mark Haddon), Mister Pip (Lloyd Jones), Saving CeeCee Honeycutt (Beth Hoffman) for Honors English 9 and Angela’s Ashes (Frank McCourt) for Honors English 11 was first warned on 5/23/11 and is not ready for adoption.

10.3. Discussion of Pension Committee
Rationale:
In researching the current pension plan for noncertified personnel information was obtained regarding an Appendix B to the SESA contract which stipulates that a Pension Committee be formed to review the status of the pension fund and report to the board on the fund. The board needs to revisit the formation of the Pension Committee and to begin to select members as stipulated for this committee.
