Rationale:  The Social Studies presentation provides an overview of the K-12 Social Studies program, including the recent changes made by the Connecticut State Department of Education to the Social Studies Framework.

The Physical Education and Health presentation is a summary of the K-12 program.  It highlights new activities and projects piloted this year in the areas of either PE or Health.

Rationale:  Kate Hamylak, SES Speech and Language Pathology Assistant who was hired in 5/08 has submitted her resignation at the end of the 2009-2010 school year.  She intends to further her education.

Rationale:  DBS Codes 3541.31/3541.32/3541.34/3541.35 – Transportation Policies were reviewed by Bill Boutwell, the Superintendent, and the Policy Committee.  They were first warned at the 5/10/10 meeting and are now ready for adoption.

Rationale:  Grade 6 Social Studies teachers have piloted and selected Journey Across Time – The Early Ages textbook for their Ancient Civilizations Course.  The Board Curriculum Committee reviewed the textbook and it was first warned at the 5/10/10 BOE meeting.  It is now ready for adoption.

Rationale: 

The Mathematics curriculum has been revised to align with the GLEs and pacing guides provided by the State.  The completed document has been converted into a website that can be accessed through the following link:
