7.2.a. BAIMS - Every Child Art Experience Grant
Rationale:
BAIMS Arts Integration Specialist, Lindsey DiPietro, applied and won an Every Child Art Experience Grant from the Connecticut Office of the Arts. The $2,500 grant will be used to provide an enriching art experience for students in conjunction with the local art studio, Creative Jam Art Co. This grant funding will pay for the supplies and instruction by local artists when students travel to the art studio. This funding will help to cultivate the growing relationship with the studio and build on the art experiences at BAIMS. |

10. CURRICULUM REVISION

10.1. 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Art Curriculum
Rationale:
Students will explore many different materials to create original works of art. As a result of participating in Art Classes, students will solve problems creatively, reflect upon and revise their artwork, develop their self expression skills, build their self confidence, and make connections between Art and other areas of their life. As a part of this course, student artwork may be exhibited in a school. City, state, national and global level.

10.2. Digital Art and Design Curriculum
Rationale:
Digital Art & Design is a digital art class where you will learn the powerful software tools used to create digital art for print such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. You will learn to edit and adjust photographs, create original photo manipulations, original illustrations, and commercial art.
