Presenter:

Rationale:
As part of our ongoing efforts to broaden the horizons of our students, as well as meet the national, state and curricular standards of world language learning, we hope to continue the exchange between BCHS and the students of the Lycée Jean Monnet that is currently in its sixth cycle (twelfth year). The French teachers and students came to stay with us in March of 2015. They were housed by Bristol families and attended classes with their correspondents. In February of 2017, we hope to send our students to a similar experience in France. Students will be staying in the homes of the students who came to Bristol. They will attend classes and will be able to have excursions to Paris, Normandy, and Versailles. Our French exchange partners live about forty-five minutes outside of Paris. All costs of food and housing will be borne by the host families. Our French counterparts will plan the excursions and we will use First Student or a local bus company for the bus and Globe Travel to handle the airline tickets. This year’s proposal includes an additional 2 days to tour Nice in the south of France.
