The Board of Trustees will participate in Capturing Kids' Hearts® training designed to provide trustees with an understanding of the principles, practices, and strategies being implemented by Lorenzo ISD to strengthen relationships, school culture, student connectedness, and positive learning environments. The training will provide the Board with an overview of the Capturing Kids' Hearts approach, including its emphasis on relational capacity, trust, communication, student and staff engagement, and shared responsibility for a positive school culture. The session will also introduce key components of the Capturing Kids' Hearts framework, including the EXCEL Model™, Social Contracts, and leadership practices that support consistent implementation across the District. The training is intended to help trustees better understand the District's implementation of Capturing Kids' Hearts and the important role of the Board and Superintendent in supporting a positive organizational culture. The session will provide an opportunity for the governance team to develop a shared understanding of the program and consider how its principles connect to the District's commitment to student success, staff support, effective leadership, and a strong sense of belonging.
