3. Public Comments
Description:
Board Policy 2:230. At each regular and special open meeting, members of the public and District employees may comment to or ask questions of the School Board, subject to reasonable constraints. The individuals appearing before the Board are expected to follow these guidelines:
Members of the public may speak during this portion of the meeting. Comments are limited to five minutes. Board members will not respond to public comments or questions during "Public Comments". Should total Public Comments approach or exceed a cumulative time of 30 minutes, the Board may suspend additional Public Comments until immediately prior to the Board and Superintendent Comments portion of the agenda. |
4. Action: Consent Agenda Items
Description:
Board Policy 2:220 The President shall designate a portion of the agenda as a consent agenda for those items that usually do not require extensive discussion before Board action. Upon the request of any Board member, an item will be withdrawn from the consent agenda and placed on the regular agenda for independent consideration. |

Description:
Replace reference to Chris Forman and corresponding contact information from Board Policies 2:260; 2:265; 5:10; 5:20; 7:20; and 7:180 with DeAndre Henderson and his corresponding contact information. These changes were made and approved by the Board in the Student and Staff Handbooks, but the corresponding Board Policies need to be updated. DeAndre Henderson has already been serving as one of the District's Title IX Coordinators.

4.g. Contract for Vision Impaired Services
Description:
This contract is for 2 hours per week of services provided virtually by a teacher for the visually impaired. We have had the position posted for 4+ years. We have students who legally have to have this service that we have not been able to provide. $130/hr for the remainder of the year. If we are able to find a candidate, we can get out of this contract within 14 days.

7.a. Resolution abating the tax heretofore levied for the year 2022 to pay debt service on Taxable General Obligation Bonds (Alternate Revenue Source), Series 2010B (Qualified Zone Academy Bonds), of the District.

8. Action: Update 2023-2024 Calendar
Description:
As part of our efforts to strengthen and improve the transition into kindergarten, the following changes are recommended.
The District is considering applying for a waiver for full school day school improvement days instead of half-days. If this happens, the full calendar will come back to the Board for review and approval.

9. Action: Substitute Teacher Compensation
Description:
The Board is asked to approve the increases to substitute teacher pay. This adjustment is being made at this time due increases in neighboring districts. Please see the attached document for rate changes.
