2. Governor Malloy’s Education Proposal Update - Senator Boucher
Rationale:
The attached document is a summary and analysis of the latest proposal to come out of the Education Committee in Hartford. Read it carefully as there are some significant changes from the original SB 24 proposal. Senator, Toni Boucher, reported that this bill is very much a work in progress and we should expect more changes to come. Senator Boucher will update the Board on the status of the bill including the proposed changes.

Rationale:
State statute allows a Board of Education to formally set graduation at its first meeting in April. The Bethel High School administration will make a recommendation. The Board will be asked to vote to approve the graduation date.
