2. Public Forum
Description:
Any person/group wishing to address the Board must sign in on the Open Forum list no later than 5:30 pm. Each person will be allowed no more than three (3) minutes. The board may not act on any matter not on the agenda. Per Board Policy GF (Local), members of the public having complaints or concerns may present their complaints or concerns to the Board only after following the procedure defined in that policy. The Board intends that, whenever feasible, complaints shall be resolved at the lowest possible administrative level. If a complaint comes before the Board that involves concerns or charges regarding an employee or student, it shall be heard by the Board in closed session unless the employee or student to whom the complaint pertains requests that it be heard in open session.

4.C. Approve Interlocal Participation Agreement with TASB Risk Management Fund
Description:
An amended Interlocal Participation Agreement (IPA) was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the TASB Risk Management Fund (the "Fund") on November 12, 2021, and is effective May 1, 2022. The new IPA replaces the current IPA and must be authorized and approved by your organization’s Board of Trustees to ensure continued coverage in Fund programs.

4.D. Approve Human Sexuality Curriculum
Description:
The Sweetwater ISD School Health and Advisory Council (SHAC) met on December 15, 2021 and February 16, 2022 to review materials from multiple publishers as it relates to the district’s human sexuality instruction. At the conclusion of these meetings, the recommendation of the Sweetwater ISD SHAC to the Board of Trustees is to adopt ESTEEM as the publisher and provider of the materials for the district's human sexuality instruction for grades 5 - High School as required by HB 1525. |
