Description:
We need to formally set and approve our board retreat date. May 2 is the current date discussed.

IV.C. Consider and if appropriate, approve Full-Day Prekindergarten Waiver
Description:
House Bill (HB) 3 requires school districts and open-enrollment charters to provide a full-day prekindergarten program to eligible four-year-old children. Currently, we offer two 1/2 day programs.
Pursuant to the Texas Education Code (TEC) ยง29.153(d-1), a district or charter school may only receive an exemption if it has: Solicit and consider proposals at a public meeting for partnerships with eligible early learning centers. After receiving and considering partnership proposals, make decision to: o Establish partnerships with eligible early learning centers and/or o Construct, repurpose, or lease new space, or issue bonds to construct or repurpose space. |

Description:
We have received money from the state in three areas. Title Funding, IDEA Funding and Safety Grant funding.

IV.E. Consider and if appropriate, approve Marquee bid.
Description:
We have two bids for a marquee. I have seen both of these in person and I feel the AdFAb sign is the better deal.
I have spoken with the Spurger ISD superintendent who had the ADFab sing installed a few years ago and they are very satisfied. |

V. Personnel/Legal
Description:
This portion of the meeting may be closed to all but essential personnel as deemed necessary by the Board in accordance with the open Meetings Act, Section 551.074 et. Seq., Texas Government Code.

Description:
Possibly hiring Lance Long, Corina's husband, to be teacher/coach and other duties assigned. I would be his evaluator.
