Description:
State law requires each campus to have a Safe and Supportive School Program Team whose primary function is to review and monitor any threat that is made to students, staff, or the campus. Each member of the team has to go through threat assessment training.

5.O. Consideration and Possible Action on Policy EIC (LOCAL) - Academic Achievement: Class Ranking
Description:
We have asked our policy consultant to update EIC (LOCAL) to remove language that does not apply to classes that have graduated, as well as adding language that defines how we weight dual credit courses.

Description:
We received a bid from DAC for installation of door access controls at Duncan. There were several doors (i.e. office doors) that did not receive card readers when we installed the classroom and exterior door card readers a couple of years ago. We will use safety grant funds for this purchase if approved. There are 43 doors that will need card readers.

1. $1 Meals: We pay about $25,000 per year to make up the difference. 2. Fall and Spring Incentives: $270,000 3. $50 extra per insured employee toward health insurance (State contribution is $75 and district required contribution is $225. We pay $275. About 87 or so of our employees are on our insurance.) |

18. Deliberation Regarding a Resignation that was Received After the Penalty-Free Resignation Period from a Contractual Employee Whose Contract is Governed by Texas Education Code Chapter 21
Description:
David Disselhorst went into Mrs. Emery's office on July 11th and basically quit. He did provide a letter stating he was submitting his resignation effective immediately. I did not accept or approve the resignation since the resignation comes after the penalty-free resignation period (inside of 45 days prior to the first day of instruction). He told Mrs. Emery, "You know the definition of insanity, right?" Mrs. Emery replied, "Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." He said, "Exactly. And that's all it's been here since I started." He then walked out without saying a word.

19. Consideration and Possible Action on Findings that a Classroom Teacher Resigned his Contract Without Good Cause in Violation of Texas Education Code Section 21.210 and Authorizing a Complaint Against Such Teacher
Description:
I recommend that the Board approve the resolution as presented, finding that Mr. David Disselhorst failed, without good cause, to comply with the resignation deadlines or consent provisions required by law and failed without good cause to perform his contract, and authorizing the Superintendent to take all action necessary to file a complaint against Mr. Disselhorst for abandonment of his employment contract on behalf of the District.
