I. Call to Order.

I.A. Announcement by the chairman whether a quorum is present and that the meeting had been duly called, and that notice of the meeting had been posted in the time and manner required by law.

II. First Order of Business (Consent Agenda).

II.A. The Board will consider approval of the Budget Amendments.

II.B. The Board will consider accepting the June Financials.

II.C. The Board will consider approval of the Minutes of the June 20 Agenda Review and the July 8 Regular Meeting.

II.D. The Board will review and consider approval of the District Investment Policy.

II.E. The Board will consider approval of the proposed tax rate to be published in the notice for public meeting.

II.F. The Board will consider approval of a resolution committing fund balance per administrative recommendation.

II.G. The Board will consider TASB Policy Update 97 and recommendations for local policies, for first reading, pending final approval.

III. Regular Agenda.

III.A. 2013-2014 Budget Preparations and Discussions.

III.B. The Board will consider approval of the 2013-2014 Student Code of Conduct.

III.C. The Board will consider approval of a resolution authorizing the Bowie/Fannin grounds exchange with the City of Abilene.

III.D. Master Facilities Planning Report.

IV. Closed Session:  A closed session may be held under the provisions of Texas Government Code, Chapter 551 including but not limited to Section 551.071, Section 551.072, Section 551.074, Section 551.076, Section 551.082(a).

IV.A. The Board may consider and deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of public officers or employees.  (Section 551.074)

IV.A.I. Teachers and Other Professional Employment Contracts.

IV.B. Consultation with Legal Counsel for pending and contemplated litigation update.
