VII. PRESENTATION, DISCUSSION AND/OR ACTION ITEMS:

VII.A. Discussion and possible action regarding the review and approval of the quotes to install an additional 15 card door swipes for district buildings.

VII.B. Discussion and possible action regarding the review and approval of the 2023-2024 Memorandum of Understanding between Brighter Bites and Somerset Independent School District.

VII.C. Discussion and possible action regarding the review and approval of the purchase of IXL Learning program.

VII.D. Discussion and possible action regarding appointing a Board of Trustee to be a Delegate and Alternate to the TASB Delegate Assembly.

VII.E. Discussion and possible action regarding the review and approval of the date to hold a Public Meeting to discuss the 2023-2024 Budget and proposed Tax Rate.

VII.F. Presentation of the Somerset Independent School District Finance Update.

VIII. CLOSED SESSION:
The Board will convene in Closed Session in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551, et. Seq. (TGC 551.071, TGC 551.072, TGC 551.073, TGC 551.074, TGC 551.076, TGC 551.082, TGC 551.083, and 551.084) to consider the following:

VIII.D. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071, attorney consultation regarding legal issues related to pending litigation in the matter styled:  Somerset Independent School District v. VIII.E. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071, attorney consultation regarding legal issues related to the possible methods to fill the vacancy created by the possible resignation of School Board Member Leo Salas.
