4.A. Recognize our School Board for an outstanding job they do for Shallowater ISD, students and the community.

4.B. The Board would like to recognize these students for their accomplishments:   2nd - 4th grade Academic UIL Elementary Meet, Texas All-State Band, and National Livestock Judging students.

7. Consent Agenda Items:

7.A. Approve minutes of December meeting

7.D. Review and take action on Investment Policies and strategies as required by Texas Government Code 2256.005.

7.E. Review, revise and adopt list of qualified brokers as required by Texas Government Code 2256.025.

7.G. Call for General School Board elections for May 9, 2015.  The first day for candidates to sign up is January 28, 2015. 

7.H. The Board will review and take action on the Joint Election Resolution between SISD and Lubbock County and all the cities /schools inside Lubbock County as presented.

7.I. The Board will review and take action on the Election Contract between SISD and Lubbock County as presented.

7.J. The Board will review and take action on the Notice of General Election and Order of Election as presented.

7.K. The Board will appoint Election Judges as presented.

7.K.1. Dorothy Kennedy, Elections Administrator as the Joint Elections Officer and as the Joint Early Voting Clerk

7.K.2. Gloria Armenta, Ruth Martinez and Sandy Salazar as bilingual election clerks for each polling place

7.K.3. Early Voting Ballot Board Judge and Alternate Judge: Tom Grimes as Judge and Betty Wheeler as Alternate Judge

7.L. The Board will appoint the Elections Office at 1308 Crickets Avenue as the main early voting polling place.

7.M. The Board will review and take action to approve Exhibit A of the Joint Early Voting schedule (April 28th and May 5th as the two 12 hour days of Early Voting) and Exhibit B of the Election Day Vote Centers as presented.

7.N. Review and take action on 2014-15 transfer list as presented.

7.O. Review, consider and take action on TASB-initiated localized updates: “Policy Update 101, affecting local policies (see list on action sheet)”.

7.P. Consider and take action on request for Family and Medical Leave.

7.Q. Review and take action on the District Improvement Plan previously approved by the District Site-Base Committee as presented.

7.R. Review and take action on submission to TEA for 6 Early Release days waiver for 2015-2016—October 7, November 25, December 17, December 18, May 25, and May 26 pending TEA approval.

10.A.1.d. High School has scheduled a School Board luncheon on Wednesday, January 28th at 12:20 p.m. in the High School library.
