Description:

Description:
Mr. Albert Pena and Mr. Doyle Todd introduced the students of the month and handed them a plaque and certificates for free movie rental and burgers.

Description:
The employee of the month was presented by Mr. Carlos Guerra which was Gina Rowland.

Description:
Melissa Guadiana introduced Mr. Guerra as the new Superintendent for the district. Mrs. Guadiana also presented him a plant from the board of trustees. Mr. Todd introduced the new teachers. The new teachers were Joann Mendiola Castaneda, Elizabeth Cantu, Thomas Wolfe, Stacie Lopez and Laurie Kilbourn.

6. Public Hearing District Financial Integrity Rating System (FIRST) Report
Description:
Mr. Guerra announced that the Public Hearing was to begin. Juan Gutierrez showed a presentation on what each indicator meant and what the district had received on each indicator. The school district did receive Superior Achievement for 2004-2005.

7. Presentation of the Governor's Education Award Program Plan - Texas Educator Excellence Grant for San Perlita Elementary
Description:
Nora Vasquez made a motion to approve the Governor's Education Award Program Plan for Elementary. Frances Rodriguez Braswell seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Description:
Nora Vasquez made a motion to approve the Governor's Education Award Program Plan for Middle School. FelipeQuiroga seconded the motion. Motion carried.

9. Consideration and Approval for Changes on Bank Signature Authorization
Description:
Nora Vasquez made a motion for the approval to change the name on the Bank Signature Cards to Mr. Carlos Guerra instead of Silverio Pena. Felipe Quiroga seconded the motion. Motion carried.

10. Consideration and Approval of the Teacher Appraisal Calendar
Description:
Frances Rodriguez Braswell made a motion to approve the Teacher Appraisal Calendar for 2006-2007 school year and that also approved that Mr. Guerra, Mr. Todd and Mr. Pena be the 3 approved appraisers in case a teacher asks for a 2nd appraisal. Norma Llanes seconded the motion. Motion carried.
