EXECUTIVE SESSION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of the Espanola Public Schools will meet in Executive Session for the following purpose:

Limited personnel matters as permitted under NMSA 1978, Section 10-15-1 (H)(2) of the New Mexico Open Meetings Act, specifically, to discuss the hiring of a new Superintendent including reviewing completed application packets of qualified applicants and interviewing qualified candidates.

Approval or disapproval of professional services agreement for investigation services

Approval or disapproval of professional services agreement for legal services

Discussion and possible action related to next steps for filling Superintendent vacancy including adjustments, if any to Superintendent Search Plan

Approval or disapproval or amending the current mask requirements as established in the current EPS Safe Return to In-Person Instruction Re-entry Plan 2021-22 (Item #1 of the recent updates to the NMPED COVID-19 Toolkit, revised March 10, 2022).

Approval or disapproval of amending the current restrictions on unvaccinated individuals sharing sleeping quarters as established in the current EPS Safe Return to In-Person Instruction Re-entry Plan 2021-22 (Item #9 of the recent updates to the NMPED COVID-19 Toolkit, revised March 10, 2022).

Approval or disapproval of lifting restrictions on visitors, assemblies and field trips as established in the current EPS Safe Return to In-Person Instruction Re-entry Plan 2021-22 (Item #11 of the recent updates to the NMPED COVID-19 Toolkit, revised March 10, 2022).

Approval or disapproval to summarily approve recent changes to the EPS Safe Return to In-Person Instruction Re-entry Plan 2021-22, as outlined in the NMPED COVID-19 Toolkit, revised March 10, 2022 to include items 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10; with the rationale that changes are general in nature and recent local and school COVID positivity rates have decreased.
