Action Items

A.  Consider and possible action to adopt the 2024-2025 Financial Audit

B.  Consider and possible action to adopt the Louise Independent School District Certification Transition Plan

C.  Consider and possible action to adopt the statutory resolution relating to SB 11 regarding school prayer and the reading of religious texts

D.  Consider and possible action regarding a budget amendment for retention stipends

E.  Consider and possible action regarding budget amendments for facilities, buses and CTE trailer

F.  Consider and possible action to adopt a Resolution to Approve an Engagement Letter with Leon, Alcala, Morse & Reynolds, PLLC to Serve as Bond Counsel, a law firm with substantial experience serving as bond counsel; finding that such services are specialized and cannot be adequately performed by District personnel or other counsel and that a contingency fee contract is in the best interest of the District because no amount will be paid unless a transaction is completed.

E.  Consider and possible action to adopt an Order Calling School Building Bond Election in an amount not to exceed $9,000,000 to be held on May 2, 2026.

Closed Meeting

The governmental body may go into closed meeting as authorized by V.T.C.A. Government Code Chapter 551 Subchapter D as provided in the Notice of this meeting. The following items may be discussed in Closed Meeting

The Board may seek the advice for the governmental body on other matters that are protected by the attorney/client privilege (TGC 551.071);

The Board may discuss the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of public employee. (TGC 551.074)

The Board will reconvene to consider and possibly vote on items discussed in closed session
