Closed Meeting

The governmental body may go into closed meeting as authorized by V.T.C.A. Government Code Chapter 551 Subchapter D as provided in the Notice of this meeting.          The following items may be discussed in Closed Meeting:  

The Board may seek the advice for the governmental body on matters that are protected by the attorney/client privilege (TGC 551.071);

The Board will discuss the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of public employee. (TGC 551.074)

Action Items

Consider and Possible Action to Engage U.S. Capital Advisors LLC as the financial adviser regarding the performance contract with Way Co. 

Consider and possible action to adopt a resolution authorizing the issuance, sale and delivery of Louise ISD Maintenance Tax Note, Series 2017; and containing other matters related thereto.

Consider and Possible Action to approve the issuance of the Series 2017 Maintenance Tax Notes and the use of note proceeds for reimbursement. 

Consider and Possible Action to open a separate bank account at First State Bank of Louise for the 2017 Maintenance Tax Notes 

Consider and Possible Action regarding additional CTE offerings. 

For the 2017–2018 school year, we delegate contractual authority to obligate the school district under Texas Education Code (TEC) §11.1511(c)(4) to the superintendent, solely for the purpose of obligating the district under TEC, Chapter 41, Subchapters A and D, and the rules adopted by the commissioner of education as authorized under TEC, 41.006. This included approval of the Agreement for the Purchase of Attendance Credits or the Agreement for the Purchase of Attendance Credits (Netting Chapter 42 Funding)
