9. CLOSED (EXECUTIVE) SESSION
Description:
As permitted by the Texas Government Code §551.071, the Board may consult with its attorney to seek advice about pending or contemplated litigation or a settlement offer, or when the attorney will have an ethical duty of confidentiality.
For purposes permitted by Texas Government Code §551.072, the Board may conduct a closed meeting to deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the Board's position in negotiations with a third person. As permitted by the Texas Government Code §551.074, the Board may convene into closed session for discussion of appointment. employment, evaluation reassignment, compensation, or duties of public employees. No voting will take place in the closed meeting. Any action the Board wishes to take as a result of discussion in closed session will take place after the Board reconvenes in the open meeting. As permitted by the Texas Government Code §551.129, the Board may have a telephone conference call to conduct a public consultation with its attorney in an open meeting of the governmental body or a private consultation with its attorney in a closed meeting. - Discuss Real Property - Creation of Administrative Position - Special Education Teacher |
