I. Meeting Details
Description:
This School Board Meeting will be held in-person and virtually in the School Board Room and online. In order to view the meeting, please use the provided URL Zoom link.
If you join virtually, please note that you will be joining a meeting as an attendee, meaning that you will be able to see and hear the participants of the Board meeting but they will not be able to see or hear you. If you plan to speak during the Public Comment portion, please be sure to review the attached guidelines that are new as of February 2023. You can also download the speaker form from the agenda or complete it at the meeting. Meeting handouts will be added to the Board agenda on the evening of the meeting. A recording of the meeting will be posted on the School Board agenda webpage within 48 hours of the meeting. Description:

V. Public Comments
Description:

VI. Consent Agenda - Mr. Jurowski
Description:
Consent agenda items are routine items that the Board approves without discussion. Board members may remove items from the consent agenda for further discussion, or to vote differently on that particular item.

VI.A. Agenda
Description:
The Board will approve or revise the agenda for the meeting.

|
VI.B. Bills for Payment
Description:
Bills for payment include all invoices that are currently due by the district.
|

VI.C. Minutes
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve the minutes as listed. Minutes are typically posted on the website once a month.

VI.D. Staffing - New Hires, Resignations, Retirements, Revised FTE
Description:
Board members routinely approve various staffing items on the consent agenda. Staffing decisions that have a large scale impact and need more discussion are listed on a different part of the agenda, as appropriate.

VII.C.1. Second Reading of Revised Policies
Description:
Board members will be asked to approve the second reading of the following revised and/or new policies:
111- Anti-Harassment by Board Members 166-Board Student Representative 171- Regular School Board Meetings 426-Homeless Students Board members will also be asked to eliminate the following policies, as a second reading: 112- Human Relations 114.1- Appointed District Secretary

VII.C.2. First Reading of Revised Policies
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve the first reading of the policies related to high school graduation (policies 345.2 and 345.31). The Board will also be asked to approve the first reading of policies 150 and 165. Additionally, the Board will be updated related to changes made to Rule 345.2.

VII.D. Capital Effectiveness - Mr. Vega

VII.D.1. Staffing Plan Updates
Description:
The Board will receive an update regarding various staffing revisions based on student enrollment that are planned for the next school year and ask for feedback. The revisions would then be built into the 24-25 budget.

VII.D.2. Retirement Age Date Revision Approval
Description:
The Board will be asked to approve a revised date by which staff members must be 55 in order to receive district benefits.

VII.D.3. Referendum Update
Description:
The Board will discuss ongoing communication efforts related to the referendum and discuss any themes that have been received through the various ways for community members to provide feedback.

Description:
The Superintendent or designee will provide the Board with informational items related to recent or upcoming topics or events.

IX. President’s Report
Description:
Ms. Williams will provide the Board with informational items related to recent or upcoming topics or events.

X. Announcements
Description:
Board members may make announcements related to recent or upcoming topics or events.
|

XI. Closed Session - The Board will move into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(e) to deliberate or negotiate the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session to discuss teacher, secretary, and paraprofessional negotiations.
