Principal's Report

Mr. Spivey gave the principals reports. Elementary currently has 342 students with 96.22% attendance rate. First responders came to present to our EC students during fire prevention week. Elementary had about 400 people come to Grandparent’s Day! Our 3rd grade came in 2nd & PK/K came in 3rd with Coin Wars for Childhood Cancer Awareness month! UIL practices have started. We are working on getting that 1st place again this year! Middle School has an enrollment of 169 students.
Cross Country wrapped up their year on Oct 14. Both the boys and the girls teams placed 2nd at the district meet. Volleyball continues to have a great year. The last game of the season will be this week, Monday, Oct 19. GT students have designed and built their robotics board to submit to Region 7. Academic UIL teams have been established. Students have started practicing for their January competition. Band is preparing for their UIL marching competition, which will be Oct 17. One Act Play has been practicing twice a week in preparation for their upcoming event. High school enrollment is 222 students with an attendance rate of 97.36%. PSAT & SAT testing is underway. Cross-country has several students that advanced to regionals. Volleyball is currently undefeated in district and football is 1-1 in district. The band is advancing to the state competition next week. FFA had a great showing at the Piney Woods Fair. |
