Public Hearing regarding Senate Bill 1, Section 48.02, 82nd Texas Legislature, First Called Session, which took effect on October 1, 2011, amending Texas Tax Code § 11.253, allowing a taxing entity, after conducting a public hearing, to continue taxation of goods in transit which would otherwise be exempt from taxation pursuant § 11.253 of the Texas Tax Code.
