9.I. Approve Pre-School Tuition for 2025-26 School Year
Description:
Tuition-based pre-school rates continue to increase for public and private pre-school entities. Currently, HPISD charges $950/month for 10 months/year for a total of $9,500. The annual $9,500 per tuition-based student does not provide enough revenue to HPISD to cover the costs of salaries, supplies, and snacks.
Administration proposes to increase the annual tuition for tuition-based pre-school students to $10,000. Parents/guardians will be provided opportunities to pay monthly, semi-annually or annually. The new rate will allow HPISD to provide needed services and supplies to the pre-school program without the program having to be supplemented by district general fund revenues. |
