A.  Presentation of the proposed tax rate for the 2025–2026 school year to ensure timely publication in the newspaper prior to formal adoption at a future meeting.

A. Discuss and possibly take action to approve Jones County 4H as a sanctioned extracurricular activity.  (Resolution is in the attachments)



B.  Discuss and possibly take action to approve the student code of conduct, student handbook, and employee handbook.  




C.  Discuss and possibly take action to review and approve the 2024-2026 Texas Safety Center Audit Survey.  




D.  Consider and take possible action to renew Roby CISD's Good Cause Exception under Texas Education Code §37.0814 based on funding limitations and/or the limited availability of qualified commissioned peace officers or school security officers. The Board further authorizes the continued use of the district's approved Guardian Program as the district's alternative standard to help meet campus security requirements and provide for the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors in accordance with applicable law.




E.  Consider and Take Possible Action to Order the November 3, 2026, Board of Trustee Election.

Administration's Recommendation:
Approve the Order of Election for the November 3, 2026, Board of Trustee Election to elect four (4) trustees to serve four-year terms and authorize the Superintendent to execute all necessary documents with the Fisher County Elections Office and take any additional actions necessary to conduct the election in compliance with the Texas Election Code.







F.  Discuss and possibly take action to approve funding source 470 (windfarm 313 agreements) for previously approved vehicle purchases.





G.  Discuss and possibly take action to reclassify committed fund balances.




H.  Discuss and possibly take action to purchase property at 106 South Orange.  





I.  Discuss and possibly take action to approve the annual certification of compliance with certain laws.





 

Closed Session

A. Personnel Matters: The board is not required to conduct an open meeting to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employee. However, the board may not conduct a closed meeting for these purposes if the officer or employee who is the subject of the deliberation or hearing requests a public hearing. Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.074.

B. Security Personnel, Devices, Audits: The board is not required to conduct an open meeting to deliberate the deployment, or specific occasions for implementation, of security personnel or devices, or to deliberate a security audit. Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.076.

C. Real Property Deliberations: The board may conduct a closed meeting to deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the board’s position in negotiations with a third person. Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.072.
