Description:
In December 2020, the Board of Education approved a request for tax levy that was submitted to the County Clerks of Sangamon and Morgan Counties. At that time, the levy request was based on estimates only. In April the counties released the actual Equalized Assessed Valuation (EAV) and the calculated tax rate for the District. The attached is an update of the actual tax extension compared to the estimated calculation that the CFO prepared in December.

Description:
Due to the pandemic and the shutdown in Spring, 2020, there was money in the Pre-K grant that was not spent that must be spent by the end of this fiscal year. ISBE has approved that the money be spent on upgrading the Pre-K playground equipment and ground covering. The total cost of the project is $41,079.44. $25,652 will be paid from the FY20 allocation with the balance being paid from the FY21 allocation.
As per Policy 4:60, the Board of Education must approve any purchases of $10,000 or more.
