3. Acceptance of Consent Agenda
Description:
As a good practice, the board should accept the consent agenda for the evening's meeting which includes minutes of the January 24 regular meeting (open and closed sessions) and correspondence from the board.
RECOMMENDATION: The interim superintendent recommends the consent agenda be reviewed and accepted. Description:

5. FFA Presentation
Description:
The Centreville FFA Parliamentary Procedure team of Josh Troyer (CHS), Isabella Johnson (Colon), Domonic Smith (CHS), Colton Schwartz (CHS), and Kiaya Hinkins (Constantine) took second place with a Gold at the district competition held Monday, February 7. They are practicing for you tonight in preparation for the regional competition on Thursday.

6. Interim Jr/Sr Principal - Aaron Hartong
Description:
Chad Brady's appointment as Interim Superintendent requires placing an interim principal in the jr/sr high school for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year. Aaron Hartong has been selected to fill this position and the BOE is asked to affirm this selection.
RECOMMENDATION: Mr. Brady recommends affirming Aaron Hartong as the interim jr/sr high school principal, through June 30, 2022. The recommendation letter is attached. 7. New Staff - Jail Teacher
Description:
The jail teacher position has been vacant since the school year began. Chad Spence, who recently retired from the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department, is being hired to fill this position and began training with Juanita Miller on February 1. His data sheet is attached.
RECOMMENDATION: The interim superintendent and Juanita Miller recommend approving the hire of Chad Spence as the jail teacher. Description:
The district has received the attached invoices from Triangle (approved by TowerPinkster) and TowerPinkster for January 2022. Also attached are the document summaries, detail sheets, and some notes regarding this final billing.
Triangle - Total $77,014.29 (approved by TowerPinkster) Cost of Work (Elem/Jr-Sr) - $62,182.45 - see attached for details Cost of Work (Maint/Bus) - $14,831.84 - see attached for details TowerPinkster - Total $4,699.99 Construction Admin (Elem) - $$2,055.06 Construction Admin (Jr/Sr) - $2603.04 Reimbursable Expenses (mileage) - $41.89 RECOMMENDATION: The building/site committee and the interim superintendent recommend approving payment to Triangle and TowerPinkster as presented.
