2. Program Highlight — College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR)
Description:
The ESC-20 College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Program supports school districts and charters by providing tiered support through professional learning, resources, and technical assistance to improve student post-secondary outcomes for our Region and beyond.
A key element of our CCMR support is the CCMR Taskforce composed of subject experts in CCMR, accountability, special education, career and technical education, finance, TSDS PEIMS, advanced academics, counseling, and STEM who collaborate to address the challenges that our students and school systems face related to CCMR. Through this taskforce, ESC-20 provides space for collaboration through our quarterly CCMR Forum, professional learning through CCMR-focused sessions provided at the Service Center, LEAs, and colleges. A second key element is the formation of partnerships through collaborative spaces such as the ESC-20 CCMR Advisory Committee. Here, stakeholders from ISDs, colleges, the workforce, and the military meet to identify areas of growth for CCMR and generate solutions. We are also continuing to form individual partnerships with other organizations that support our students in the region, such as UP Partnerships. ESC-20 is dedicated to supporting students achieve strong CCMR outcomes as they pursue their post-secondary goals through aligning resources, technical support, professional learning, and diverse partnerships.
