5.A. Consideration and possible approval of a shared resolution (initiated by Cushing ISD) to address the financial needs of Public Education in Texas. The resolution calls for increasing funding for Public Education as an issue separate and independent of vouchers.

6.D.1. District Safety Audit Final Report from 2022-23 School Year

6.D.2. Plan to move to a "Competition Gym" format during the winter season. Whenever possible, all competitions will be held in the HS Gym (including JH games). Varsity practices will be moved to MS gym on those nights. This was suggested by the basketball coaches and is supported by the Athletic Director and Superintendent.

6.D.3. Raptor Alert Training for all staff will be October 27th. After which, we will have fully implemented State-mandated silent panic alert technology via raptor alert. This application also allows us manage other types of emergencies, and to monitor and track progress for required safety drills.

6.D.4. Overton ISD Student Ambassadors - This idea was sparked by a presentation at the TASB convention. We plan to create this group made up of Juniors and Seniors to help provide input to OISD plans and initiatives, and to provide a student voice that communicates and advocates for students. The group will also serve as a liaison and additional voice from the district to the student-body and the community. The plan is for the group to meet with the superintendent, CFO and other department directors on a monthly basis.

6.D.5. Ms. Kelly Kinney has generously donated two large banners (6' x 7') with the lyrics to the school song. These banners will be hung in each of the gyms. Big thanks to Ms. Kinney for her support of the District and our students!
