I. Call to Order

I.A. Announcement by the president whether a quorum is present, that the meeting has been duly called and notice of meeting has been posted for the time and manner required by law.

II.A. Closed meeting will be held for the purposes authorized by the Texas open meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.071 et seq. concerning any and all purposes permitted by the Act, including but not limited to the following sections and purposes:

II.A.I. Pursuant to Texas Government Code § 551. 071, consultation with District’s legal counsel regarding legal issues related to superintendent search process and naming lone finalist. 

II.A.I.a. Consider legal advice regarding any item on the agenda.

II.A.II. Texas Government Code Section 551.074 For the purpose of considering the appointment, employment, resignation, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, termination or dismissal of a public officer or employee.

II.A.II.a. Closed session pursuant to Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee, specifically including the following matters: conduct second round interviews of Superintendent Applicants; discuss and consider Finalist for Superintendent of Schools.

III. Action on Closed Session Items

III.A. Consideration and possible action to name the lone finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools.
