III. Human Growth and Development Review Update
Presenter:
Tim Schell
Description:
Tim will provide an update on the Human Growth and Development review and key documents in the process to date. On the Sex Ed Standards by Topic Area document, green dots represent at least partial coverage and pink dots represent at least partial gaps. As you can see, several items have both green and pink dots. For Monday's meeting it would be helpful to have reviewed at least the first two attachments (our grade band topics from the 2008 update and the AAP guidance).

V. Redefining Ready
Presenter:
Tim Schell
Description:
Redefining Ready is a state and national initiative to broaden the information on school performance shared with stakeholders. The Wisconsin initiative has been endorsed by the WASDA and the CESA's. We have been monitoring the development of this initiative for a few years and Tim attended a meeting of the state initiative in December. The is conceptually aligned with our district's approach to learning and we already collect data on almost all the Redefining Ready elements, so while this is revolutionary for some districts it is evolutionary for Waunakee and would not be a large lift.
In addition to the attachments, there is a Wisconsin Redefining Ready web site. https://sites.google.com/cesa7.org/wisconsin-redefining-ready/home?authuser=0
