IV. REVIEW AND CONSIDER WASB POLICY REVISIONS -- 151 and 253.1
Description:
Attached please find draft copies from the WASB review of our policies for Policy 151 and 253.1. The options available to us with these polices are to determine the path we want to go with regard to the number of readings for a policy, the role of the committee, and the establishment of administrative rules.
I will use these two policies to illustrate the process by which the WASB review will look, and you will get a feel for the type of work upon which we are embarking. You do not need to take a "deep dive" into these policies prior to our meeting as I think it would be helpful for us to walk through them together as we get comfortable with the process of reviewing WASB's format etc. If possible, I would like your feedback on the options for these policies so we can start to move them forward to the full board for consideration.

V. REVIEW AND CONSIDER ETHICS POLICY 165.1
Description:
Attached please find the Board's Ethics Policy 165.1 along with a version that has changes as recommended by Mike Brandt. This revision is submitted to clarify the ability of a Board Member to be part of conversations / decisions regarding co-curricular activities when the Member is in someway involved with an individual program.
On Monday, I will bring a copy of our current policy with the deletions and additions articulated in Mike's version. This copy was not ready at the time of Board Book's release. Also attached please find the WASB version of the Ethics Policy that was produced as part of our policy review. I will review these policies and our options with you at the meeting on Monday. I would like your feedback on these policy options, and if we are able, a recommended option for the full school board to consider.

VI. REVIEW AND CONSIDER CHANGES TO POLICY 352 FIELD TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS RULE 1
Description:
Attached please find our current Policy 352 Rule 1 that outlines the parameters for field trips. Since this policy has different interpretations by members of the Board, it is in need to review and clarification.
Mike Brandt has also authored a revision (attached) for review and discussion.
