Janet Thomas will update the committee on current plans for reviewing Human Growth and Development instruction and outline next steps.

IV. ESSA Federal Education Law Update
Presenter:

Description:
It has been more than a year since you received an update on the most recent revision of the federal education law Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Wisconsin's state plan was approved by the federal government in January and the next step will be school districts (LEA's) submitted local plans later this year. This item is intended to revisit the law and describe some of the local plan requirements.

Tim and Amy will review the progress of materials adoption and provide a first look at requests. K-6 writing and the introductory high school math courses are still in progress.
