V. FUNDRAISING POLICIES
Description:
The purpose of this agenda item is to discuss the fundraising policies. The district conducted a trial of the Classmunity fundraising program during the 16-17 school year. The program was used for the Warrior Stadium, Innovation Center, and Sculpture projects. As a result of this successful trial, the business office is recommending the use of the Classmunity program for all district fundraising activities, and is recommending allowing the option for the use of the Classmunity program for school related fundraising taking place by private groups. In addition, the business office is recommending that the financial approvals follow a similar process to the financial approvals for the purchasing policy (ie Superintendent $10,000 and above, School Board $25,000 and above). Attached please find four (4) polices that have been revised accordingly. Please note that the business office has received significant input into the revisions of these policies, and that all administrative and office support staff are aware of these recommendations for the 17-18 school year. We have also held a training session with Classmunity as we prepare to successfully implement these policy revisions. Administration is seeking input from the Policy Committee on any additional revisions or changes to these policies. Please let me know if you have any questions on the fundraising policies. VI. STUDENT TRANSPORTATION SERVICES POLICY UPDATE
Description:
The purpose of this agenda item is to discuss the student transportation services policy.
The transportation handbook for the 16-17 school year was revised to reflect the location of the new Intermediate School. However, the School Board policy on transportation was not revised accordingly. Attached please find a revised transportation policy that accounts for the location of the new Intermediate School.
