Description:  Attached is a copy of the “Notice of School Board Election” for the upcoming 2016 Spring
Election. This notice will be published in the Waunakee Tribune on November 12, 2015.

If you are planning to run for re-election, please contact Mari for the appropriate paperwork.  The paperwork can be picked up beginning on December 1, 2015 and the materials and signatures will need to be returned by 5:00 p.m. on January 5 , 2016.

Description:  The  Board of Education election will take place this spring with three terms expiring (Gary, Dave & Jack). Per Wisconsin election rules if any of the current incumbents choose not to run for re-election they will need to submit a “Notification of Non-Candidacy” form no later than 5:00 p.m. on the 2nd Friday preceding the deadline for filing ballot access documents (December 28, 2015).

Description:  Attached please find a memo from Randy Guttenberg that outlines proposed options for our next steps in the district planning process.

Description:  Sheila Weihert will be in attendance at the Board Meeting on Monday evening to provide an update on Summer School 2015.  Attached please find the report that she will reference during her discussion with the Board.  

Description:  Attached please find a request for early graduation.  Brian Kersten has prepared a memo that outlines the reason for the request and a recommendation from administration to support this student graduating one semester early.

Description:  Attached please find the 66:03 agreement with Sun Prairie Area School District to share a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher.  This agreement outlines that we will pay 10% of the cost for this position, valued at $7,823.17.  Kurt Eley works with Sun Prairie in oversight of the services provided to our student/s who require these services.  The teacher works with our students on-site in our schools and serves 2-3 students in this capacity.

Description:  Attached you will find the 2015-16 Budget Status report as of October 31st, 2015, the Cash Reconciliation report for September 2015, and the 2014 referendum budget report as of October 31st, 2015. Description:  The purpose of this agenda item is to review the district census report. The 2015-16 district census process has been completed. The census was completed by utilizing a postcard that was mailed to all addresses in the school district. The information is then entered into the district student records database by attendance area to create a census report by elementary building. The attendance areas are based on the existing attendance areas, not any proposed attendance areas for 2016-17. Please see the attachment that includes the census numbers by
attendance area and changes of census numbers between years. The following are some observations about the information that is attached:
1. The census report indicates at least 5 sections of kindergarten at Prairie, which is compared to 6 sections this year. The likely number of sections is 6 after adding in new students and open enrollment students.
2. The census report indicates 4 sections of kindergarten at Arboretum, which is compared to 4 sections this year. Some students may need to be transferred to another elementary school if the total number of Arboretum students exceed 88.
3. The census report indicates 3 sections of kindergarten at Heritage. The Heritage attendance area is very consistent from year to year.
4. The elementary attendance boundaries are holding to capacity in the Heritage and Prairie areas, but the Arboretum area has a slightly higher number of students than capacity at the school.

Description:  Kristin Meyer received a $464 donation from Keith May to use for graphing calculators for students at the Middle School.

Description:  The district has received a donation of $100 for our band program from the family of AC Rierson.
