Our adopted rules of Parliamentary Procedure, Robert's Rules, provide for a consent agenda listing several items for approval of the Board by a single motion. Documentation concerning these items has been provided to all Board members and the public in advance to assure an extensive and thorough review. 7. Public Comments -
A person wishing to be heard by the Board shall first be recognized by the president. He/she shall then identify himself/herself and proceed to comment as briefly as the subject permits. Individual speakers will be allowed 3 minutes to address the Board. The Board shall limit the total time for each agenda item to 60 minutes. No oral presentation shall include charges or complaints against any employee of the Board, including the Superintendent, regardless of whether or not the employee is identified by name or by another reference which tends to identify. Charges or complaints against employees must be submitted to the Board under the provisions of Board policy and administrative regulations related to such complaints. The Board will not engage in discussions with members of the public during the comment period. |
