1. Updated GTE Flowchart for Grade 1
Description:
Please see attached an updated GTE flowchart for grade 1. Please see below Mrs. Bishops thoughts about the necessary change in identification. She is doing a great job as the GTE coach! After going through identification with Grades 2-5 this year. I think it is necessary to change the flowchart. I've attached the new chart I would like to use for Grade 1. I think this will be a better process to do a portfolio review before contacting parents and meeting with students. The portfolio review would be entering the data into a matrix to see if they would qualify for Tier 2 or 3 before notification. I was concerned because some students were notified with the past flowchart and then were clearly Tier 1. This did cause some confusion for some. I really want to make sure I get this 1st grade one right, since this will be our primary identification piece from this point forward. I have taken the other flowcharts offline, so I could update them as well. They will be a bit different because of the CogAT scores. |
2. Solar Energy
Description:
Please see attached two separate business proposals Paynesville Schools received for their solar energy garden. They liked Innovative Power Systems (same group proposing our energy solutions) best and signed a letter of intent with them. |
3. Tentative Schedule for Bid Package One
Description:
Paul wrote in an email to Winkelman employees and me: I have met with Dave Rey and Eric Hanninen, civil engineers. The civil engineering drawings ( which I think Robbie will want to call bid package 1), can be ready to hit the streets on July 3rd with a bid opening set for July 23rd ( this date is subject to input from Robbie, Jon and anyone else). Site work would start soon thereafter, maybe around August 1. It seems to me that the site work indicated for the west side of the high school would occur in 2016. The site work to the south and east would commence right away. There are many civil engineering steps yet to be completed including coordination with city, county, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers, to name a few. We should talk further about the content and dates for subsequent bid packages. |
